Thought this was quite interesting and may roll out across the whole range

Hopefully there will be an off button for long journeys.

Perhaps they could install a normally aspirated 3.5 straight six from an E34 in it. That would be my choice of sound for a large-ish BMW.

So it plays music as it goes, up to about 25 kph?

Well at least it's not as annoying as the Tesla sound.

This is definitely one of those concepts where in 50 years time we think "what the fk were they thinking?"

Similar to the talking car back in the '80's. Failed to catch on. What was it ?

Talking cars are a think again though, many have voice control now and reply in a slightly mechanical voice.

I have a twelve year old X-Type with voice control of various functions. A party trick when the grand-daughters are aboard id to press the 'speak' button and say HELP! loudly. After a second or so a very refined male voice says, in a calm tone: 'Help...'. If I then press the button again it stops the voice going on listing all the voice operated functions. The kids love it as they think the car is replying. Well, they are very young...
