There are a few places close to me in Shropshire that do lpg or should I say did.

No idea but there can't be too many converting vehicles any more so a dying market I would have thought

I think its my fault. I just bought a Bi-fuel car.

Sorry frown

And yes, i have been having the same problems finding a local LPG station. there are about three i have found and they are all 20 miles in opposite directions from here and they all charge different amounts for the stuff.

Had an LPG converted car for 7 years up until last October. It took a nose dive about a year ago. The apps and online stuff were pretty reliable, then I found that the smaller guys were less likely to have it. Then the Morrison’s I visited regularly stopped doing it.

A few she’ll garages stoped filling their tanks and the local BP had stopped. It got to the point where o started taking a special trip to my local flogas depot to fill up.

When I changed cars, I went back to diesel for a bit.

Five minutes up the road from me, near Priorslee, there's a farm that has a pump.

Which is lucky, as I didn't check any local LPG outlets prior to buying a bi-fuel Saab a couple of weeks ago.........

I've run LPG cars for years and never use Shell / Service Areas as they are too expensive - I found there were independents and fuel clubs who were far cheaper - as it seems did most others hence Shell removing them.

Map here but some are missing

Top of the Redhill? That's one I'm on about.

There is also the place on the A5 towards Gailey which converts them still but they never seem to change stock so I do t think they do that much

I’ve never used it but I did notice that when my local Morrison’s had the pumps all refitted a couple of months back so they’re all pay at the pump the LPG one was removed and hasn’t been returned.

I was just going to say MMS Gaspower at Gailey is brilliant. Just down the small lane directly opposite the BP garage (who also sell LPG but at 65p / litre as opposed to 55p a litre at MMS!)

I used to use MMS a lot when i had an LPG converted volvo. Now i have a shed but still use MMS to fill up my fathers caravan LPG containers. Great service, can't fault them.

If you look at what’s on sale on auto trader then out if 458,000 cars only 141 are lpg.

If I ran a petrol station there’s not way I’d bother stocking it.

its a single track lane leading to the site with a right hand bend , but they must get the lorries down there to fill the containers, so i would think it would be ok

I tried to get on google maps to post a picture but its playing up for me, but check it out on streetview smile

Nothing constructive to add to thread apart from the subject reminding me of a guy who used to frequent these pastures and having a reminiscent chuckle. Can anyone else remember the bloke a couple of years back who installed LPG conversions and went on numerous aggressive rants to defend them? I seem to recall him getting in to a row with Max_Torque over LPG conversions being the future rather than EVs and hybrids laugh

I'm pretty sure he was informed by numerous people that LPG demand and conversions were dwindling, and this thread seems to back that up unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your viewpoint of course!).

yes

Watling Grange Farm

Occasionally, whilst getting topped up, a couple of lovely black labradors will sidle up for a bit of fuss and attention as well.

I've noticed another place on the A5 between J12 of the M6 and Gailey Island that sells it also (come off the M6, follow the signs for Telford, and it's signposted on the left)

A petrol station near my parents refurbished a few years ago and removed LPG (West Meon Hut services), but the Shell near me (Fleet) refurbished recently and still sells it.

When I had an LPG car I filled up at a few farms - apparently chicken farms use it in vast quantities for heating.

I lived there 5yrs ago, there were three:

Log Farm in Chadwick End - 99% sure that closed when it changed hands
The Countrywide site in Catherine De Barnes
Shell on the A41

Have all three gone ?
