We traded our 2017 1.8 Hybrid Toyota C-HR for a new top spec RAV4 today.

The C-HR has been brilliant over 3 years & 24k miles but as it’s our sensible / wife’s partially funded work cat, needed something bigger.

This one is a 2.5 litre petrol hybrid with all the bells & whistles. The C-HR could deliver some seriously impressive MPG so interested to see what this will deliver.

Early impressions are excellent in terms of cabin, kit & driving. Looks pretty purposeful too.

Will report back as time goes on.

They look great.

Top price as well IIRC?
Hard to beat Toyota quality though. They've got that hybrid drivetrain nailed.

Failed the moose test apparently?
(We don’t have moose in Aust., so no worries)

That was quickly rectified with ESP / VDC recalibration.

If I was wanting a mid-size SUV-thing, this would be it. Quiet, comfortable, brisk & economical ( but not on motorways...). 60+mpg possible pootling around the doors and, if it matters, they last forever. Way better than the Lexus equivalent IMO.

Weve had a few Rav4 in the family and they have been fantastic, nearly got one to replace my XC60 this time, but 2 things put me off. The Square arches are an acquired taste and the infotainment in the 2019 car was a bit poor.
