Small Mercedes EV
Discussion
The EQC is already X3 sized. This will be more X1/XC40 I'd suggest at about 4.4-4.5m?
Another expensive and overly heavy shared platform EV from a traditional manufacturer I assume.
Shall we play guess the numbers?
I go with 2300kg, 330bhp, 250 mile range and £55k.

I doubt the weight of EQB will be that much. Different battery options, so range may go from 250-310 and prices are estimated to start from £45k. It will appeal primarily to those who are already Mercedes customers but just want to go electric. Simple. If it was a EQB (and the size would make sense) then it would seem that it was a different body than the published spy shots.
The GLB is has an almost identical height for the front and rear side windows where this had clearly quite a teardrop shape. The front wheel arch was a lot stronger in design than the previous EQB spy shots as can be seen quite clearly on the second car which wasn't wearing camouflage under the padding.

Given this it would seem that the earlier spy shots were a GLB with the EV powertrain and this was possibly the final body wearing much stronger camouflage.
We see quite a lot of test cars here, though mostly in January when it's often -30 at night and it's quieter so it was a surprise to see them in the height of the summer tourist season.
