Has anyone here had a workplace charger installed? Due to parking assignment (i.e. none at the home car park), it would be better for me to get a charger at work than at home. I just found this page:

https://pod-point.com/guides/business/workplace-ch...

Does this fully sum up the process/experience? Any extra advice/costs/etc?

(This would be for a 4-5 year old Leaf or Soul, if it makes a difference.)

Haven't read it all but its actually easier with the WCS scheme.

Go here and apply for a voucher code https://www.apply-workplace-chargepoint-grant.serv... Just give this to the installer and they will do the rest.

You don't even need and EV and the grant is the same.

We are looking to add 3 new charge points to our existing. It's worth contacting your local enterprise partnership as they are keen on 'green' things at the moment. They'll come and do the surveys and everything for you and apply for the grants as the local authorities have EV targets to hit seemingly.

Thanks. I just found out that our local enterprise partnership (Cambs and Peterborough) was disbanded due to some sort of financial irregularity! I'll try to find out which bit of local gov took on that role.

If there's any 'irregularity', I want a piece of it. smile

Just updating to say thanks. I've done the online application and got the voucher code. EV on order and waiting for quotes now...

Thanks all. smile

Let me know how you get on. I've had some silly quotes back from the government backed installers. It's around 50% cheaper for us not to take the grant, buy the charger sockets and have our regular electrician come and fit them.

I'm still waiting for the LEP to come back to us, they seem to offer the service and then not have a clue what to do when you ask them for assistance with it!

^ Will update. I'm near Cambridge, and for a lot of green-ish projects, there's a bit of a 'Cambridge Tax'. frown
