I don’t like the look of that at all.

I like what Vauxhall PSA are doing sticking the 50kWh, 100kW charging drivetrain in lots of different platforms. Good way to drive volume into what is still a niche market.

Combo van looks like a decent option for taxi's TBH, I wonder if the battery would make disability access difficult.

I doubt many people looking to buy in this class/price point particularily care whether its a looker or thwther it handles well or is the last word in driving pleasure.

At the risk of being that guy I think the range is too small too. You'd be buying this as your main vehicle, or I certainly would and would probably need a 72kwh battery to make it a little more comfortable, it would mean if it came to it I could use it at work too.

You're realistically looking at 150 miles based on the range people are getting from the Corsa E with the same drivetrain, and more like 100 in the winter. If you can charge at home and it's used for local trips could be more than enough but would be more awkward for longer stuff I agree, especially with the limited rapid charging speed.

I prefer how the Berlingo and Rifter look but yes, definitely in the market for something along the lines of these. Weighing up if we need two cars any more, EV plus old petrol MPV (for camping, bikes, etc) has been doing OK but could combine into one and give room for something more fun.

The env200 with seats has been at least that expensive (even with discounts) smaller battery, charges slower and overheats/throttles charging on longer trips. I’ve looked for ages and even secondhand 40kwh ones fetch really strong money when they do appear.

This PSA platform is great and 50kwh with 100kw charging (it stays above 75 for the first half of the charge) is really usable even with the poorer aero of a van.

Be interesting to see what the real/broker prices are, no-one pays anywhere near list for a ICE Berlingo/Rifter/Combo and I wouldn’t expect them to for EV.

Also, if you want space/seats then Vauxhall do a 8/9 seater Vivaro LWB with this same powertrain, current autoebid price £31246 inc VAT.

It’s *very* basic (it’s meant for taxi use) but a good utilitarian EV for a big family.

Dare I say it, but give it a Citroen badge and yeah....(how bad is that! haha, but I just can't get beyond a VX badge)

But, the Berlingo/Teepee type vans have a good little following as little day vans. You can buy like fitted cassette type things in the rear that fold out into beds/couches and then you can pull out like a little sink on one side and stove on the other. Perfect little day campers.

And with EV power, suddenly having a decent 3-pin socket outlet and being able to run the AC if you need it is pretty easy and you don't have to sit there idling.

Berlingo is a bit cheaper, starts under £30k (mid spec, M length) and all versions are cheap enough for PiCG including the XL 7 seater.

https://uk-media.citroen.com/en-gb/node/90086299

At list price, it’s about £5k more for electric over auto petrol. Be interesting to see what discounts are like, regular Berlingos get £4-6k off easily.
