208 Miles range from full in ideal conditions.

My money is on yes, as long as you keep to 55mph

Maybe, but I'd probably aim to hit a 100kW+ charger around 30-40% charge instead. There's plenty along the one way, one might be working!

Yes you should be fine. Seems reasonable to expect 240 at least in current conditions.

Picked ours up on Friday and have done 70 ish miles and on 73% battery. Google assistant reckons 180 miles range left and that’s with some exploratory accelerations and normal 70mph driving with aircon on etc. .You need to say ‘hey Google how far can I drive’ and it will give you predicted range at any point.

If you have no home charger, you don't want to get there with 5%. I would plan to top it up at the Gridserve units at Peterborough or Baldock, or better still, take a small detour to Braintree. https://electrichighway.gridserve.com/braintree-el...

You also can't guarantee it will be at 100% when you collect it.

It would probably be quicker and almost certainly more pleasant to drive at normal speeds at stop for a fifteen minute top-up at a public charger.

I would go with the mind set it won’t be fully charged.

Most services have Gridserve (Ecotricity), you'll be fine. If your feeling proactive, get the Ecotricity App setup before you set off in case you come across an older unit. Gridserve units are contactless debit/credit. Ionity are good but expensive, think there is one at Newport Pagnell (not personally used it). Just scan the QR code on your phone and debit / credit card.

Well done. It would be interesting to see how far the 24% remaining charge takes you. What would people think a reasonable ‘reserve’ would be?

Where are you charging until you get a point installed? Bwood area and pick up an EV on Sat. Sparky doing install has gone quiet!

There is one apparently flakey point at De Rougemont Manor and the town hall chargers are reported as busy. Slower one at Esso Warley on A127.

Bar resorting to 13amp or cheekily asking neighbours I am a bit stumped. Plan was to charge at home and work (40 miles away) but work have half cocked it.

The really important thing with EVs is that unlike ICE's, pretty much the more you slow down the further you can go!

Recently, a totally standard Zoe driven at 20 mph did 425 miles on a charge averaging an incredible 9.1 miles per kWh. For reference, driven normally you'd typically expect to get between 3 and 4 ml/kWh.

The other factor is that when you slow down, your average speed is less affected by the interuptions in your driving, like junctions, roundabouts, waiting at lights or simply catching and following another slower vehicle. This means the length of your journey actually doesn't increase directly in line with the speed you drive.

.
It's the same with ICE. Drive slower, use less fuel, you can further before filling up.
