Evening all,
order placed for the i4. Haven't seen any detailed (p)reviews yet but suspect it won't be long before the journos get the pre-production fleet in their grubby little hands.
Recently came out of my eTron 55 (which I sorely miss) and into a 530e xDrive (which I will not miss). Looking forward to getting back to BEV and find myself taking my wife's i3S at every opportunity rather than taking the 530 aka 'neither fish nor fowl'.

If I didn’t need more boot space I would be very keen on one of these. Not all that much more lease cost than Kia EV6, with rather a lot more bhp.
Interesting you mention boot space, I don’t know what capacity the EV6 is but the i4 at 470 litres can’t be far behind?I’m trying and failing to convince my wife that an M50 is the way to go over something like a Q4.
Nice choice! I cant help thinking that the i4 is going to be a nice car. I still think the M50 is a little steep for the bracket it is in, but lets see what the spec / quality comes out as in production. I am happy to have been wrong on the iX, since all of the initial reviews seem to be gushing over it! Drives and rides really well and all of the reviews that I have seen / read say its worth the money! There I am still sticking to the "its too expensive for what it is" story though....

With that in mind, the i4 might be a little expensive, but if its as good as the iX, sounds like that price is justified and its going to be a good car. I have to take the i3 in for its service this month, I will pester the service team as to what the progress is on the training - had a great talk with them last time as they were going through the dealer training on the i4 and iX models. They were really looking forward to getting in as the tech's were really impressed!

£64k for 544bhp, adaptive suspension, proper seats, a hatchback and a 300 mile range stands up very well compared to the Model 3 P at £60k IMHO.

The i3 at almost £40k was the expensive one.

Yeah, but is that before options or after? The i3 at almost £40k was the expensive one.

BMW are almost as good as Porsche for liberating buyers from their money on 'essentials'.... And yes, the i3 is stupid, but I havent found anyone who didnt buy on a fantastic finance deal or massively off list.... or second hand, at which, they are a bit of a steal.
Damn, no build and price for the i4 here.... Just an expression of interest only and a few picture. Not even a price! Just some estimations from the media at a few guesses.
M3 Performance is $57k here, so fully expect it to be $60k ish. Probably closer to $70k - they will push the 'premium' message for sure.

Ah it really didnt want to let me choose that option! Looks like its around £69k with similar spec to the 3
One of those things where you get to choose what you want. After 2 years with the 3 id happily go without a glass roof, adaptive cruise and 20" wheels for better seats, proper leather in a choice of colours as standard, adaptive suspension and a hatchback. The standard car would suit me fine.
ETA - Carplay as well.

M3 Comp is £75k in the UK, so i4 M50 £11k cheaper..M3 Performance is $57k here, so fully expect it to be $60k ish. Probably closer to $70k - they will push the 'premium' message for sure.

Specced mine to about £68k with pretty much every option I want. Much less than comparable M3 / M4. No idea on delivery just yet
Yep, for < £70k you can get a very well equipped example. Not bad when you consider a similarly equipped Polestar 2 is £62k with 150bhp less and a smaller battery. Its about £10k less than I thought they'd ask when you consider a roughly comparable spec Taycan would cost an easy £30k more.al_uk said:

As someone new to EVs, it took me a while to work out why Tesla owners kept talking about high performance German cars.DaveGrohl said:
