December (and full year) figures up at https://www.smmt.co.uk/vehicle-data/car-registrati...

Some way down still on the 2019 full year (at 2.3m cars), but over 190k battery EVs at 11.6% of the market. Just for December, over a quarter of new cars were battery EVs.

BEV sales in:

2020 - 108205
2019 - 37850
2018 - 15474
2017 - 13597
2016 - 10264

= 185,390. So more sold in 2021 than previous 5 years put together.

SMMT also include a list of best selling EV models. Tesla Model 3 sold enough to be the #2 selling model overall.

Time to dig out the 2019 quotes when people said BEV wouldn't reach 10% for decades laugh

Amazing that a £45k car is the top seller by miles.
