Which company car EV!

So still procrastinating over which company car to order and these are the options…. (Requirements based on 3 teenage kids+doggo!)
Tesla model Y - my contribution £140 per mth
Audi Etron 50 Black Edition £160 per mth
Audi Q4 40 - can’t remember which one! £85 a month from me.
My thoughts - Tesla - good range, good standard kit, charger network
ETron - higher quality? More space?
Q4 - cheaper contribution, newer Audi tech than Etron
Any thoughts/ideas or inspiration as I am doing my own head in :-)

Frequent cross-country driving? Home charging available? Less than 150 miles a day? Frequent travel down to Cornwall?
Of you're doing big cross-country mileage then Tesla will be the one that keeps you calm with the best rapid charging options. If you're using it for more local use or only very occasionally need to use the rapid charging network then I'd say consider the iX3, QR, Enyaq (cheaper, but lots options), ID.4 (interior, questionable) and also the EV6 and Ioniq (theoretically longer range and faster charging twins).

The Skoda has possibly the biggest boot available at the moment. The budget option would be the MG ZS Long Range, also has the shortest lead times, probably. MG5 comes as an estate.
Oh and it's the iX3 you should look at. The iX is the flagship iX SUV, with a massive battery and surprisingly small boot...
I have etron which I got in December 2019 on a 2 year lease deal. I’ve extended it to 3 years on the basis I couldn’t find anything I’d prefer on the market.
I pay around £475 per month for the etron. The only thing I’d change it for is another etron (which seems pointless and expensive) or a Porsche taycan, albeit they are much smaller inside and use the etron as the family car for 5 people.
If I’m honest I’m beginning to start looking at options what to do in December 2022 and currently swaying toward extending it again.

My suggestion in the first instance would be to ask what the lead times are for the various models.
I think that will really help in narrowing down your list in the first instance unless you're happy waiting many many months.
I went for the Model 3 Long Range because I travel regularly with work and I need the charger network.
Everyone will have different views but apart from the accelerating party trick (done with after a couple of go's) I think it's a horrible thing with appalling and dangerous ergonomics. Also, coming from a long line of German company cars the build quality is a joke, I've got better made Sainsbury's carrier bags! I dread the thought of having an accident in it, there's clearly a reason Teslas are so light in the EV world...
The supercharger network is indeed the saving grace however, it's excellent. The £17 per month tax on the BIK is also splendid but that applies to any EV.

I cancelled a Touareg order to salary sacrifice an EV.
The obvious rival was the e-tron however the guy at Zenith was of the really firm view that I would regret the E-tron as the tech is now outdated.
He was pushing me towards the q4 but I thought it felt a step down quality wise from my current A6.
In the end I went for a BMW i4 M50, totally different car but a chance to break away from my normal 2.0tdi and get a bit of performance with low running costs.
There is apparently a q6 e-Tron due next year but the timing doesn’t work for me.
The obvious rival was the e-tron however the guy at Zenith was of the really firm view that I would regret the E-tron as the tech is now outdated.
He was pushing me towards the q4 but I thought it felt a step down quality wise from my current A6.

I've a Model Y coming, and whilst bland, I think we are going to like that and how it 'just works'. I reckon the kids would like the tech and the guided autopilot stuff will make the holiday traffic to Cornwall much easier I would think ?

I went from a Model 3 P to an eTron 55 Black Edition a couple of months ago. Not a Y of course but many similarities.Other options - Ioniq and EV6 small boots not very dog friendly. IX and Skoda - will check those out!

The tech in the eTron is good, the stuff you actually use regularly is in many ways better than the Tesla + standard CarPlay/Android Auto really compliments it.
The interior and overall build quality are in a different league to the Tesla as is the ride quality on the adaptive air suspension. It's also more comfortable in both the front and rear and has a huge boot. Black edition spec adds some nice options over the standard car.
The Tesla wins easily on performance, range/efficiency and public charging, especially when compared to the etron 50. The stereo is also a bit better and you get ACC as standard which is a £2k option on the eTron as part of the Touring pack.
All going to depend on your priorities but the Audi feels like a considerably more premium vehicle.

Can't agree as above, plenty of areas where the etron will be a better car than the Tesla. Interior comfort, ride quality, build quality and materials, refinement, headlights to name just a few. Plus the huge negative of Audi Main dealers !

Was never impressed with standard AP personally so rarely used it after one too many phantom braking instances, the rest of the tech good but the build in nav + spotify aren't a patch on having CarPlay and access to Apple Music/Google Maps/Waze etc.

Perhaps add Volvo XC40 to your list. Very comfy, amazing ride, quality interior, lots of toys, the twin motor version is a rocket ship which is fun, and will do 100 mile journey no problem.Other options - Ioniq and EV6 small boots not very dog friendly. IX and Skoda - will check those out!

Lead times are long but then I think all manufacturers have the same problem at the moment.

Don’t think I’ve ever had a new car with zero issues …
Our ETron was off the road for 4.5 months …

The tech in the etron is either the same or better than in the Q4 so seems an odd statement to me, agree on the quality comment though. I'd be interested in just what tech is considered outdated? In comparison to my 2017 A6 the etron is bang up to date and don't see anything standard on the i4 that it doesn't have.He was pushing me towards the q4 but I thought it felt a step down quality wise from my current A6.
Perhaps they aren't making quite so much of a margin on the etron?
