I've just had my Nissan Leaf salary sacrifice order updated to "In Transit To Dealer". It was due to arrive with me by late May so I figured 6 weeks to transit from China would make it about on schedule. Then I came to my senses and remembered them being built in Sunderland! Is this still the case? Has anyone else taken delivery of a Leaf recently who can advise on how long it's taken between build and delivery?

Having not bought from a dealer I've no idea how long it may take to receive the car. I wasn't bothered initially as I wasn't particularly keen on the car or any of the others so just got the best deal to do the job but I've since gone full 180 and am now very excited and cant wait for it! I admit now that I'm really looking forward to it!

Can't help with delivery times but they do still appear to be built in Sunderland.

Thankyou, I'd got a few different results when googling. Unless they're pushing the thing I'm optimistic for delivery soon then.

I ordered in October, picked up in Feb - there's no VW style order tracking but the dealer gave an estimated date for it to arrive with them about a month after ordering, once the build was scheduled. It arrived bang on time. There's been the mild facelift (less chrome, new wheels) since which seems to have disrupted times a bit, not sure exactly when the cutover was.

They are indeed made in Sunderland. Enjoy, I'm liking mine a lot.

I ordered mine 15th November for delivery to the dealer late March. In February that estimate was put back to late May. Yesterday my order was updated to 'in transit to dealer' so I'm hoping that they overestimated the delay and I'll be getting delivery shortly. I can't think of a reason it'd take until late May to get to the dealer and then to me other than it was coming from Asia which I know to not be the case. We've not long had the wall box fitted. I might treat myself to some mats!

Is this a 62kwh model? If so, how are you finding the real world range? I'm interested as I'm a Leaf 30 owner and wondering if it's worth upgrading, as I don't really have a range issue very often.

Yes, 62 - I've not done any proper long trips yet but the cold 130 miles trip to see my folks was a breeze compared to the egolf, 70mph motorway half the way, A roads for rest, heater on and 40% battery left at the end. Should be an easy 200+ mile car in the milder weather, but really it allows me to do the regular trips like that without fretting about economy.
