Does anybody have any up to date info on when Rivian are planning the U.K. launch of the R1T/S?

I’d like to replace my LR D5 within the next 12-18 months and would rather do so with an EV. The R1T looks to be an excellent fit for my needs.

Thanks

As they can't get the supply adequate in their home and primary market (the USA) I suspect we're in for a loooong wait.

I'm thinking more along the lines of three years if ever so I either sit on my four year old Amarok and run it into the ground or purchase something as a stop gap.

For those of us who are looking for an EV solution, I think a prudent move might be a deposit on an ID Buzz which you have a chance of seeing next summer.

It'll retain it's value until the next generation of EV or PHEV utility trucks come into being.

Probably never. It's a bit large for UK roads, and would need to be homogenised for the UK market. Especially post-brexit it's probably not worth bothering with the UK, when the EU market is much larger and more profitable. Our only hope is if our government sees sense and aligns with EU rules.

I'm a bit behind on the Rivian news but didn't they gobble up a £1bn incentive for UK Gov to build a factory in Somerset?

Not sure if this is to build Amazon vans though or if it's for the SUV?

If you check out the pH rivian thread I mailed them a few months ago and I cut and pasted it onto that thread, as like you I'm interested in them.

From memory it's going to be atleast next year until its released over here but probably 24 onwards.

Dimension wise, for the suv, isn't it similar to the latest range rover and similar ilk?

I've been idly thinking about it, primarily because not expecting for well over 2 years, and that will suit my timing; size comparison:

Im assuming the above is in inches?

Sorry for my grammar lacking reply, was done via the phone. But basically Rivian didnt confirm a date. I guess you could look to a grey import but others poo-pooed that idea as apparently the Americans use a different plug to the EU? Im guessing adaptors arent a thing?!?

Ive just looked at the Fisker Ocean dimensions: 78.5(w) x 188(l) x 64.2(h)
