I assume this is the right place to post this. It was only ever a matter of time. One website helpfully reports that EV owners will "have to pay the same tax as everyone else". That's a broad rate from £0-£600+ a year. Assuming the government do the usual thing and not increasing tax bands on vehicles that are already on the road, won't that make the current crop of EV's a fair chunk more valuable?
Interesting to see what tax rates they put on these since I suppose they're all much of a muchness on emissions so will it be mileage based, flat rate or something new and interesting?
