looks more like an homage to the Renault Espace than a VW bus

Very upset, we were promised one of the first , we ordered and deposited at the start of they year - now being told Sept '23.

Already two on Autotrader, one about £10k over list the other about £16k over.

Were they online ordering? Or through the dealerships?

Looks like this IMO. Honda must have been ahead of their time with the Elysion.

Why are you upset? The car for sale was pre ordered in 2020, which is well before when you ordered it, right?

We dealt with a dealer, and then directed to VW website the day the order book opened.

Thats not possible, we spoke with dealers in Jan 2022 and there was no way to pre-order, we were assured by the dealer we had one of the first - clearly not the case. We had a build slot for Jan '23, then 3 weeks ago it was pushed out to Sept '23 - zero comms from the dealer.

Same happened with the Toyota GR86, lot's of customers promised cars by dealers, to then have their deposits refunded, and a "sorry, online only"

Remember these 2 things:
a) The asking price isn't the definition of selling price.
b) Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
There's no law in the UK against wuckfits paying over the odds for something. Me - I spend my hard-earned money more cautiously.

There’s a grey one that I’ve seen a few times around Salisbury, it looks OK I guess.

Crazy money mind.

List price is £57k for the Buzz Life (which includes heated windscreen and seats), a bit more for the Style with bigger wheels and more lighting options. It may have been less when ordered in 2020 of course:

They really seem to need the two tone paint to jazz them up. I saw a black one at a dealer yesterday and it just looked like smallish, nondescript van.

It’s a first edition, therefore will have listed at around £63k (prices only released early summer this year).

The ads says with tow bar his car listed at £64,685.

Can't get excited over a very expensive people carrier. This could have been so much more. Expect they will sell tons of them.

Xbus does a better job at the concept for a fraction of the price. This is just the latest fashion accessory. Its not a bad car, just not a great one.

Yes, I agree with that. Definitely needs the two tone paint. I find it an interesting car but would be quite interested to see the LWB version when it comes out, and hopefully, a proper camper interior.
