can anyone remember what the public charging rates were roughly before vlad made his pitch for a statue in red square?

i know osprey got as high as a quid at one point, and 50kWh+ charging seems to have found a level at around 66p. what was it before though?

Last summer Podpoint at Lidl supermarkets were 29p/kWh, for Rapid (50kW). Seems like a bargain now!

Couple of years ago (make that 'pre covid'), the charge point in our seaside town car park was about 60p/kWh plus some fixed fee.
I didn't see many cars using it.

It’s nice that Tesla is adjusting the rates downwards. I’m sure the others will be reluctant to do the same. I incidentally think the cost of public charging is a major barrier to adoption as it means EVs mentally become local loop tools only/primarily as nobody in their right mind would pay a premium for faff.

few tesco sites i've visited recently were still free on the AC chargers, which included the 22kw (my polestar only gets 11 on AC, but still.. not bad for free!)

65p kWh mostly here, not really an incentive for people without driveways.
