Looks great on the outside but the inside looks like a poorly thought out gaming rig
The interior picture on the Evo site is awful, but it's also clearly not the interior which is in the video on the MG site, which shows a round steering wheel.

I can't have a steering wheel that I can't rest my left hand on the top of whilst gesticulating to other drivers with my right or just resting it on the window ledge.
How can I be cool like Greased Lightning.
Anyway remember KITT the robot Chevrolet Camaro. A mate sawed his steering wheel in some old Ford so it was similar.
It was a right bugger to parallel park

Both are very Thatcher era electronics to be fair. A bit like someone watched Cannonball2, then KnightRider and then hit up Dixons with the Barclaycard to glue as much stuff as possible to the dash on their mother's Marina.
Neither are what you'd call classy, modern or elegant.
The exterior of the MG is far nicer.

1) The MG interior is a little 'try hard' knight rider, and also extra points for swiping the F-Type 'panic handle' idea for the passenger on the centre console! The Honda is actually fresher and they're trying to make a car a comfortable place full of useful information, like a personal library on wheels..
Maybe it could have been better if the MG went for a generally retro interior with a digital cluster display (which just makes sense these days) and a seperate modest centre mount infotainment display, rather than the wrap around screens. I don't think the sunday driver enthusiast needs wrap around video displays to make happy progress..
2) That Dixon's catalogue has taken me back decades! The idea of a two deck tape player is hilarious - the only purpose/use for such a device could only ever have been to pirate music - yet every household in the nineties had one!

Also the hifi 'system' which is a single box made to look like separates.. The portable TV which is essentially the size of.. a TV (back then). And look at the wood.. )
I thought the 'grab' handle in the Jags was a barrier to protect the female passenger from the geezer behind the wheel? 1) The MG interior is a little 'try hard' knight rider, and also extra points for swiping the F-Type 'panic handle' idea for the passenger on the centre console! Mercedes have modelled the interior of their A series on those fake stereo separates. The homage to plastic chrome, shiny black plastic, LEDs and hundreds of buttons that just aren't needed. Each time I've had to get in one at Avis I find myself checking if it has Dolby Surround.

One thing about the Honda is that if you lift all the Dixon's portable TVs off the top of the dash, what you're left behind with is really bugging me as a design. There was a British car, probably Leyland that had that dash at the end of the 80snor in the early 90s. It's bugging me where that 'pinched' dash has been used before.
