Polestar 2 or Model 3: 2 child seats and an adult in back?

Evening all,
I'm having to rent a car for a trip from London to Manchester next month for a wedding. We'll have 3 adults and two kids in car seats, ages four years and one.
Doesn't need to be an EV but a Polestar 2 from Hertz seems reasonable compared to a lot of other cars in terms of costing, especially other autos. Likewise a Model 3 is too. I guess a lot of folk don't want an EV
Peer to Peer stuff like Turo has more options, a bigger Model S for the same price but still a bit weary of that versus the traditional rental model. I guess child seats can vary a lot but they aren't my kids so we'll have to go with a guess of average sized seats
Anyway, for you parents amongst us will either of these work for the configuration or be too tight for such a reasonably long drive?

That isn’t going to work for a long journey. The adult sitting in the centre rear seat is going to be really uncomfortable, if they fit at all.
Get a car with more seats. 7 Seater ICE MPV or SUV. I suppose if the adult sitting in the back is small, a boxy 5 seater with individual seats like a Ford Tourneo Courier / Connect might work as well, but not sure where you can hire those.
An EV isn’t the best choice for long distance with kids in tow. If you have to wait or detour because of lack of working chargers, they start missing meals, get tired or bored, they will let it be known in no uncertain terms and it will be a recipe for stress.

We're on our 2nd Tesla Model 3 and have had an extended test drive in a Polestar 2.
We are a family of 4 with both kids in full-on car seats.
Model 3 wins here, hands down. More space, much better all-round visibility and, if you need to charge, you get the best charging network out there.

i took my child seat with me for the test drive
Model 3 is more spacious both at the front and at the back
but I have try 2 adults + 1 child seat at the back
okay for short trip
I cant imagine squeezing 1 adult between 2 child seat
Like other mention in your case I would get a proper 7/8 seats MPV

So are you saying you’d be happy sticking a fully grown adult in the middle between the child’s car seats for a 4hr plus journey?We are a family of 4 with both kids in full-on car seats.
