Now that some secondhand EVs are reaching price parity with the equivalent ICE models (Peugeot, Citroen, Vauxhall) I'm tempted to consider one when the time comes to change. Specifically looking at the models which use the Stellantis 50kWH platform, where £20k buys a high spec 21 or 22 plate. Range isn't the greatest, but would be fine for me.

I'm just a bit concerned about insurance costs - are they much higher that the equivalent 1.2 triple versions - and depreciation - likely to carry on dropping faster than petrol versions?
Presumably servicing will be cheaper?

Insurance depends on many factors so find an example on autotrader and run the plate through a comparison site.

Main saving is fuel cost. Intelligent Octopus tariff is 7.5p off peak, so a full "tank" would be £3.25
