Rory Sutherland is great - He has so many observations on how things are marketed and makes them really easy to understand.

Where's that clip of that woman failing miserably to work out how far you'd travel in 1hr if you were traveling 80mph.

Can't see the video above but assume it the one where he talks about range being displayed as a percentage giving granularity that someone used to a fuel gauge can't get their head around.

I've read an article I think over 5 years ago, it was a bit pretentious but it was written by a journalist from the same mindset. Where his friend took him out in this "oddity" called a petrol car. It's a nice way to look at things though.
There has been 100 years worth of effort in the ICE so they've become very good. However, in almost every measure they've been matched or even humiliated by the EV now, and the EV has still some ways to go (energy storage being the most obvious one).
