None Tesla Supercharging - question
Discussion
I’m in the lakes in my Merc EQC and woukd like to use the 16 superchargers at Rheged J40 but the app doesn’t tell me if they are open to none Tesla or not. I’m sure it’s me but I’ve looked all over it, told it my car and it’s letting me pick a charger - what’s thrown me is I can’t find the none Tesla filter.
You do see it stated sometimes, but not there as you say!
As above post;-
“ If you log into the Tesla app as a non-Tesla EV owner (no Tesla vehicle on your account), the app will show only the Supercharger stations that are open to other EVs — so you won’t see all Tesla Supercharger sites, just the ones you can actually use”

Also, you can use the https://supercharge.info site to filter on v4 chargers that have the longer cable if you have a non-Tesla with a charging port in the wrong place, so you don't have to block 2 spots to get it to reach

I used one for the first time last month on my Honda eNy1 at the Moto Lymm services, it worked well. Being a front mounted port is good, the tethered leads are quite short.
If you use the Zapmap app, you can set the filter for public access Tesla chargers. It's a bit fiddly setting up the network search but it worked. And tells you how many are available.
ETA: In the Tesla app, I added my car to 'My vehicles' so I think it does only show public ones, but I double checked with Zap map.

I've used Tesla chargers a few times, I just plug in and tap card to pay, the small display screen prompts after plugging in, you can even get a receipt by scanning qr code on display at end. I don't think it was more expensive this way unless you are already paying for Tesla monthly subscription.
I was slightly amused this morning when charging my non-Tesla at a Tesla charger (only 3 of 12 in use) that there was a chap charging his Tesla at the non-Tesla charger across the aisle.
Can you choose which credit card gets charged when you plug in a Tesla to a Supercharger? (ie. if you have a corporate credit card and a personal one)

Exactly what I did with tap to pay, used my company card, then scanned the receipt qr code and download receipt pdf straight to phone. When not on business used my normal card Can you choose which credit card gets charged when you plug in a Tesla to a Supercharger? (ie. if you have a corporate credit card and a personal one)

Question please - how does one pay at a Supercharger? Contactless? Or through the Tesla App?
There are two types, the type that has a big hole on the middle and shorter cables, they are via the app only. These are also known as V3 chargers. There are also more pedestal type ones with a longer cable and know as V4 chargers in Tesla speak. These are either via the app or contactless credit card.
The app is however a good way to go irrespective as you get quite a useful display on your phone as to how the charge session is going. Having the app is also the only accurate way to find them, and see how busy the are. Third party websites and apps can have mistakes.
