Just looking for a bit of a review, any strong pros/cons etc.

I'm slightly confused about the parking pilot, from the blurb on the website it looks like they're trying to make it look like a self parking system, but that it doesn't actually self park!?

Also how great is the B&W sound system? The system in the BMW IX is epic, hands down the best I have ever heard in a car and I'm hoping the PS3 system is comparable?

This car is a strong contender to replace my existing car mid this year..

I’ve not driven the Performance pack car, but have driven a dual motor model with 22” wheels and the same air suspension set up. Thought the ride and handling were absolutely superb, and the Bower & Wilkins hifi is the best I’ve heard in any car. Ultimately I went for a P4 because I preferred the form factor, interior, and crucially cost.

Out of interest how does the 4 handle the 3? I read that the air and adaptive suspension is really effective on the 3, despite it's weight/size.

What was the difference in interior?

Thanks in advance!

I think I just felt that the P3 interior is more conventional SUV, albeit still quite minimalist. The P4 has more of a coupe feel about it. Some of the surfaces on the P3 feel more premium, but I have the Nappa leather on mine so that enhances things.

They did a great job on the ride and handling of the P3, it really is very good IMO.

Boot space on both is pretty much the same.

Brilliant thanks! All very reassuring.

I considered the 4 but we're coming out a grand coupe (BMW i4) and Mrs Deuce wants an SUV again. Not a hardship as I'm pretty happy with a fast SUV too, the 3 comes out costing quite a bit more though!!!!

I'm probably going to get the 3/4 end of this year or early next year. From what I can work out the 3 is on a newer platform/design hence more software issues and higher cost.

Both depricate like you would expect a high price EV in 2026, they seem to loose £20-30k in the first 12 months, so I'll be going for a lightly pre owned one.

I'll be keeping the thing for a decade, the real concern for me is if Polestar will still be around in 2036. I suppose underneath any Volvo dealer can manage them. Kia/Hyundai give me more faith in brand stability than Polestar. Fisker Oceans are £10-20k at 2 years old, don't want to end up living/owning a potential brick.

Pertinent topic. Coincidentally I’m moving on from an iX too in a similar time frame. P3 is also on my long list of potential replacements. The iX is proving had to beat.

Haven’t driven the P3 but we also have the P4. While the software isn’t as slick as Tesla, it does the job and I haven’t encountered any of the gremlins reported from earlier adopters. A similar experience in a P3 would be fine.

However, as Gangzoom summarises, the P3 is on a different platform (Geely SEA2 vs SEA1 for the P4). The P3 and the Volvo EX90 are both on the same platform. The EX90 has been plagued with issues but I don’t think those are wholly platform related.

Hopefully we can get more feedback from current P3 owners.

I'm at least reassured by the fact the P3 has had a raft of major updates, it's clear that it's a car they want to invest in still - not some failed experiment soon to be abandoned.

As a package, it's all seriously competitive with other premium offering for similar power/range/price too. That's what drew me to it...

Me too smile
I actually wanted a Polestar 3 in 2023, but Polestar delayed it 12 months, so I got an iX.

I'm still interested in the P3, but there are so many new Gen2 EV's launching this year that unless it's heavily discounted something else will get ordered

On lease it is heavily discounted smile

I was very excited by the gen 2 BMW iX3 too, but it's underpowered compared to what I'm used to. It's still a contender though. I'd also love an electric range rover but they seem to be endlessly delayed. There are a few Chinese cars that I know are headed to the UK that I'd have taken a punt on at the right price/performance too - but they're not here yet and I need to order something soon.

Yes, a couple of Chinese cars i'm hoping will make it to the UK this year.

-> Zeekr 7X
-> Zeekr 7GT

The Rivan R2 will probably be next year, which looks another great option
