Recently moved into a house with a grey BP Pulse home charger.

It was fitted by the previous tenants and the landlord doesn't know much about it. Ive got the password from the previous tenant.

I connected to the WiFi with the password and connected it to my home WiFi fine.

The led on the front is blue, but alternates to a flashing red. If I connect the car it locks onto the cable but the car doesn't detect its connected to a charger and I can't start charging.

Any ideas?

Try asking ChatGPT. Always useful for things like this.

ChatGPT wasnt much help.

Looking in the live logs for the charger I see this: ConnectorID 1: Received Current Limit below 6000 mA. The session will be suspended and the Limit will set 6000 mA

There is a CT clamp in the meter cupboard. Is it worth turning it all off and changing the CT clamp to a new one? Guessing it could be faulty and feeding duff information?

The CT clamp should measure the current drawn by the whole house. Does it show anything in the web page or app when you stick the kettle on?

There isnt a reading for it anywhere, it goes into a a shower style CU in the main meter cupboard along with the live feed and then a big cable coming out going to the charger. The web UI for the BP Pulse is ste and hardly shows anything.

Ijst just connected with a wago so thinking I can swap a new one in and see. Otherwise guess Im calling an electrician with knowledge of EV chargers

One of the chargers on the BP Pulse site has a blue and red flashing LED which is described as "Charger has been scheduled to start at a later time".

Or it might have a randomised start delay.

It has a random start delay which is a blue flashing LED only, and can be overridden. Its possible its still got a scheduled start, but I ve checking it regularly and its always doing the alternate between blue and red flashing
