Cleaning under the bonnet

Mrs C has an MG ZS EV and I would like to give it a thorough clean under the bonnet, but I'm not sure that spraying copious amounts of water around with a power washer is such a good idea. Can anybody give me advice/suggestions on how to go about cleaning that area without doing damage to the motor and other electricals?

Use a turbonator

This with the right chemical almost dries as it goes. I have used it on engine and interior and it really works.
