Highway Code changes in France

Not sure if this has already been posted, but just seen this posted on the VW T4 forum. I'm sure our France based members will be able to verify whether this is being enforced or not.

That's been going on for a while (look at the article's date).

Habits are hard to change in France though. Whenever I stop when someone look like they're going to cross my brother tells me "what are you doing, they're not even on our side of the road yet"

I think Police enforced it to start with to make a few examples but I haven't heard of anyone close to me being fined for it...
