As title - always driven in past but this time flying and taking the train due to shortage of time. My pals are camping in Karting Nord. Haven't been to the modern 24hr for a while so not sure of ticketing/security issues - I was planning just to buy a general entrance ticket when I get there and then jumping in my mates car to get into campsite - any reason why this won't work? Presumably they don't keep track of how many people are camping on one pitch? I know this worked on the past for one of the posse who arrived by bike.

You'll be able to just walk into Karting Nord, no problem. They keep an electronic register of what cars come and go though.

Buy a General entry on the gate by all means. Never done this though, so don't know if there are certain times/ dates that you'll have to meet.

My wife comes down by train, and just walks into the campsite. Although of course she is not carrying any luggage as I have taken it in the car. These days yyou can just catch the tram from the station to the circuit (and of course back again) and it works really well.

I took the train last year,

If you are using the tram to get from Le Mans centre to the circuit, you will need a general admission ticket to get from the Tram station to Karting Nord as it is the other side of the circuit....otherwise it is a VERY long walk all the way round.....

Is it? I thought if you got off at the terminus you just walked down the road to the campsite. Looking at google maps it would appear you need to walk down th road Chemin aux Beoufs from the tram terminus. If you get off at the earlier stop then you would need to take a short cut through the circuit.

But you need the GE ticket to get in to the circuit, and they can only be obtained at the main entrances I think, a long walk.
