Staying at home - checklist

For those of us who for one reason or the other can't make it to Le Mans this year you might need a check list to ensure your 'Le Mans at home' satisfies the requirements of all who is coming to your house over the weekend.
So far we're just about there.
Sky package for Eurosport.
Bit of satellite cable to extend the service into the garden.
Large gazebo.
Patio heater.
Flat screen for the picture.
Amp for additional sound.
BBQ with lots of food
Beer
Fridge
Pool Table
Scaletrix
Laptop for streaming Le Mans radio and for checking the online results.
Multiple copies of Stephens excellent guide to Le Mans.
This was last years 'Le Mans' at Chateu crmcatee.
Our interpretation of La Sarthe. Safety tape to stop the dogs wandering onto the track.
Grub's up - along with one of the girls Birthday weekend

that's how to do it... LOVE the crimescene tapes where can one get that apart from the obvious way...
It was either that or the Police Line do not cross tape. Both of which may have been liberated 
I almost forgot - we've got another screen inside with the PS3 and Steering Wheel and pedals to relieve the kids (and occasionally the adults frustrations.) However only the La Sarthe track will be playable
I've also got a side bet on with a friend. I'm saying Peugeot will win, She's saying Audi will win - whoever loses will pay for dinner for two at any restaurant of the winners choice.
I think you better start looking at menu options and she saving up....
This was my advice to a friend who asked if he could come next year..... (only a bit of tongue in cheek)
For the race weekend in 2011, I propose the following:
"Accommodation: Sleeping in a tent in the garden for four days.
Hygiene: No personal wash allowed - nothing more than brushing your teeth.
Seating: Uncomfortable garden chairs to be sat in for six hours at a time while you drink large amounts of tepid beer, preferably until you fall over.
Race: Big screen in an awning with Radio Lemans streaming over loudspeakers in the garden.
Toilets: Use a nearby forest or the local park as a toilet.
Catering: You must prepare your own BBQ meals ... at least two per day ... Breakfast consists of the leftovers from last night's supper which has not been in the fridge overnight.
Exercise is very important: You need to walk so much that it feels as if your legs are about to fall off ...."

Dont forget you must que for the bog/shower, no cheating and going straight in.
I'll go and take a couple of the toilets and showers out of commission and fill them up with brown sludge just to make sure folks don't get tempted to use them.mike80 said:

The plan was to turn Eurosport on for the warm up, turn on RLM, fire up the bbq for breakie on the saturday.
Leave Eurosport/RLM on all day & night, and sit down with the lappy to follow on DSC, read the Club Arnage guide and open a beer or few with the race on in the background. BBQ again for Sunday through the day and to watch the finish while having a few more beers.
That was the plan. Now am going away for the weekend. But thanksfully to see another racing fan, so at least i'll get the start, finish and dips in during the day.
