Eurotunnel changes

Eurotunnel have just emailed me about French Terminal changes
After proceeding through Check-In, you now clear border controls prior to accessing our French Passenger Terminal Building. This enables you to relax in the comfort of our Terminal until your booked departure is called. Simply follow the revised signage and directions given by our Terminal staff.

IIRC someone posted about there being problems with the new set up causing lengthy delays, anyone been through in the last few weeks?

Came back from Honfleur last week. No hold ups but it is a little confusing after you clear customs, you have to head all around the parking area in front of the terminal first and then you park up prior to heading off to the embarkation area.

I last used the tunnel the morning of the first May bank holiday. We got to the auto check-in and were informed that our booked train was the next available one, just over 30 minutes later. 45 minutes later we got to the UK border control, three of the potential booths being closed. It was the morning Bin Laden was executed so may have had something to do with it, but the checks were no more thorough than usual so may not have been related.

Must admit when I got the email this morning I couldn't see any difference to the previous situation.

It is different, but not a problem. I came through early May BH - it was chaos - because of the BH traffic I presume, not the new arrangements . I was fidgeting for a bit cos' I couldn't work out how I'd missed the turn in to the terminal (and coffee!), but eventually after all the controls, there it was .
