Win Aston Pit Lane Tour At Le Mans

The lights, the smells, the glamour. And that's just the PH team...

To say the PH team are excited about Le Mans would be an understatement; barely a minute passes without discussion reverting back to old Le Mans tales, or excited plans about what we'll be doing in a week's time.

We're about to take that excitement level up to heady heights, as a few minutes ago an e-mail landed in my inbox from Aston Martin Racing inviting PHers to visit their garage during the race on Saturday evening. Can you imagine being in the Aston garage as the evening sets in and the team are getting ready for the long night ahead? We can and it's going to be fantastic, and that's why we insisted that a couple of the PH team chaperoned the lucky winners....we want to look after you, you see, not just blag entry ourselves (ahem).

Being a part of the race is an experience not to be missed; you'll see the in-car cameras capturing the drivers live as they lap the circuit, you'll see the strategists at their computers and - if we're lucky - we might even be able to watch a pit stop happen live a few feet from where we are standing.

As you might expect, space is limited, so as such we will offer three extremely lucky winners access for them and a mate to the garage at 17.00 on Saturday night. We'll meet you near the pit lane and will take you to the Aston garage from there.

We don't have any rules, but it might be wise that you remain relatively sober as we'll be wandering around a live garage during race conditions.

To be in with a chance of winning, get an e-mail sent to [e-mail] with 'Aston Le Mans' in the subject line. Please include your name and mobile number so we can contact you if you win. We'll pick three winners at random from our CGI-rendered Hawaiian Tropic bikini top when the competition closes at midday on Friday 3rd June.

I'd also suggest that you may need to be wearing trousers, have arms covered and proper shoes as the French stewards are very piccy about access to the pit lane during the race for example pit lane access for photographers etc requires a full fire suit of a certain colour!

Paul it might be worth checking the dress requirements with Aston as you'd be might peeved to be turned away for wearing shorts and flip flops

I'll check the dress code, in 09 I did tour with flip flops and jeans but I will make certain and will let the winners know when I call them on Friday

Other thing to consider is the Aston had major league engine issues at the test day so you might want to get there early otherwise the view may be obstructed by a shut garage door.........

It's an extra for those who are already in Le Mans for the race.
