Hi there!

If you can see at my profile bij ''notes'' am I a big fan of 24 Hours Le Mans.
This year unfortunately I can't go.

But Sunday 12 June 2011 I have a day off and I would like to actually drive to Calais to see the wonderful ''Le Mans'' cars back to home.
I saw a topic with ''Who is on what crossing'' (http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=25&t=932517&mid=0&nmt=LM+2011+-+Who+is+on+what+crossing) and thhen you guys are to Le Mans, but is there any date / time when you are coming back from Le Mans to drive to Calais > boat > home?

Because, I very would like to see the Le Mans cars. I like the Noble's/Marcos/TVR because these cars are very rare in the Netherlands.
I hope like I get an answer back and you get to see at Calais.

I have some pictures for you guys from Le Mans 2010, I hope you like them.

Great Pics

I am afraid we are not going back via Calais. But I suspect that most people will be going back on Monday spread throughout the day

A lot of people leave after the race and head back the normal way towards Calais, So If the Race finishes at 4PM its going to take them a few hours to get up that way! Your best bet would be to head down the motorway past Calais to the toll area, get yourself on the North bound carriageway and take a few pics there.

@ blueg33: Thank you! I have more pictures. (10.000+) Sad for me. I really wanna see these beautiful cars.

@ jessop: Thank you! Unfortunate for you having no dslr camera (I have a Canon 50d with 17-85 4.0 IS USM) Which camp are you now? Last year I was on campsite L'Pincanardie (I write that correctly?)

@ fatboy18: Yeah I can me remember that. At the roundabout, where the toll gates are, in Saint-Saturnin was very busy with the most beautiful English cars.

Maybe I should gamble to be there at 3PM around Calais. I would love to see them, and hopefully I still have a little sense of the Le Mans 2011.

If someone have some more information, could you please let me know?
Thanks for the replies gentlemen.

This year we are in a Transit so not very picture worthy, cab was written off on the way back to UK after the race frown

PS Good photography skills

Oh cool are you that!?
Oh that's not good, how did that happen?

Thanks, I love to take pictures. I'm also often at the Nurburgring, but I would love to be 12-06 in Calais, to see all that awesome cars.

Didn't know you'd come down in a black cab. Epic!

It seems pretty funny to me to ride in that cab to Le Mans

I think you'll find the race finishes at 3pm this year, so more importantly ensure you are there at 3pm on the saturday!
