Le Mans Museum

Is the Le Mans Museum worth a visit over race weekend? Or is it hugely overcrowded?

I am talking about the one by the front gate, near the airport.

Its a decent size inside and very interesting. I could have spent 2 hours in there, they do a deal with a tram ticket too on Thursday.

Deff worth a visit, we went on the Thursday afternoon in 2009 and it wasn't that busy really. There is free parking behind it aswell.

We've found Thursday morning is a good time to go, before the masses arrive on Thursday / Friday.

Easy to lose a couple of hours, sometimes more, just pottering round looking at the somewhat eclectic mix of cars. It's very much *not* just a museum about the race, but also covers some local automotive history as well.
