Bar Code Zapper problems at MB
Discussion
To enter or leave Maison Blanche campsite both vehicle and personal tickets had to be checked by the security staff with a bar-code zapper at the gates.
On two occasions our 'zapping out' didn't work and we were not allowed back in again! Did this happen to enyone else?
To 'reactivate' our tickets we had to visit the ACO ticket help-desk. When this happened on the Saturday afternoon this meant a 30 minute drive from the MB gate (heavy traffic!) up to the main gate, no-where to park near the main gate so continually harassment from ACO staff to move the vehicle and their response to our query of where we might park whilst sorting out the tickets, was 'not only do we not know, but we don't care'!
After queuing at the ticker help-desk for 20 more minutes the guy couldn't believe that their automated system didn't work but eventually sorted it out (he was actually very helpful). So nearly 90 minutes of race-watching time wasted for no fault of our own.
Was it just us that had this problem or did others suffer?

Pain in the ar$e, wasn't it! My brother and I had a bit of a barney with the people manning the gate, we couldn't believe that it was a vehicle exit point only.... we were much closer to that end of the campsite as well....Andy
we only had two issues with it - neither of them life and death but both irksome.
They insisted we fix the vehicle permit in the holder provided - which meant they couldn't zap it and we had to remove it every time we left / came back.
They wouldn't let us come into the campsite on foot, via the vehicle exit, which added ten minute walk to get back to our pitch.
That said, if that's the biggest problem with our LM experience, life ain't bad.
