I think it's awesome. Nice to see something clever and different! There's no other race this could happen on.

Very interesting concept. Small petrol engine married to fighter technology. Will it last the 24 hours though?

I'm excited about it.

One of the things that drives my passion for the sport is the innovation and different solutions you see to the same problem.

I loved the walrus Williams and wished it had proved to be quick as, whilst I will agree it was not easy on the eye, it was a different approach.

One of the main draws for me to GT's over Formual cars is the difference between the shape and sound of the cars. A Ford GT followed by a 458 chased by a SLS and all being kept honest by a brace of Audis is what gets my juices going.

On the Propotype front tell me that the mental image of one of these pushing an Audi through the 'New Esses' after the Dunlop Bridge doesn't fire you up and I'd say you have lost your racing soul.

Those would be the 'Forest Esses'.

No, really.

Yes I KNOW that's probably the stretch of track with the fewest/furthest from any trees but apparently they are the Forest Esses (based on RLM's reporting of McNish's crash at the Forest Esses).

Nothing would surprise me with that section of track. I am still wondering why it is that the ACO refuse to put a big screen there when it is the section where the largest number of race fans can gather in one place. The only answer i can come up with is that they are worried it would hit Grandstand ticket sales but to me having a grandstand seat is a totally different kettle of cats.

I still can't get the image of it understeering through the first corner it meets out of my head.
I'm sure they know what they're doing but I just can't shake the vision.

Don't think a tv at the esses would affect sales of the grandstands.

A grandstand at the esses would be nice though in addition to a tv.

There was a long interview with someone involved in the deltawing car on radio Le mans during the race.

Hate it.. frown

Looks ulgy, and I really hope it doesn't sound quite so much like a bee on steroids when it does race...

Was looking for the fly swat !!! Sounds like a big blue bottle on the non-on board bits.

Actually, not so long ago (and before the hateful twiddly bits forced upon us by the bikers), the banking above the left-hander of the Esses used to be covered with trees, and utterly unlit by spotlights and the like. Was a really cool place to spectate at night, and you could also see the cars coming under the bridge and down the hill before piling into the corners.

Pretty sure that thing is just going to go straight on! Will it have to meet a specific lap time as it is classless? Their sim reckons 3:31.. hmmmm! Good luck to them though, look forward to seeing it next year.

It's awful - i hope that the thing is banned before it hits the tracks. What a joke.

The eyes. The eyes!

How much of this is reality? To the uninitiated (me) it's just a cartoon.
