Le mans motorhome hire for next year..

Anyone know of the best way to go about this? Me and my dad will want to share the driving but i will be 23 next year and we will need a 6berth. Is there any companies anyone can recommend?

There's a company in Cambridge here https://www.motorhomefreedom.com who hire out motorhomes for drivers aged 21 to 75. Andrew Hughes the boss is a total petrol head, so he should know where you are coming from
There's a number you can call 0800 612 8719. They have motorhomes for hire all over the UK.

there's plenty of companies around renting motorhomes, finding a local one would be less aggro

That is the great thing about Andrews company all the motorhomes are privately owned and are local to the hirer.

One of the problems with taking a motorhome is the cost of the ferry / Eurotunnel. We hired one a few years back to provide toilet / shower / proper beds. So we did not have a huge amount of gear to load up. The solution was to drive the car to Paris and pick up the campervan there, and then drive onto Le Mans. Vastly cheaper. Much quicker to / from Paris. And since we took the car to Le Mans as well, we did not need to waste time swapping kit. They are not the nicest or quickest vehicles for driving a long distance in!

Ferry £112 for a 6m Motorhome on the Euro-tunnel
Fuel this year LMS was 24 MPG at 70mph
Tolls were a piss-taking £74

We hired from the UK, tunnel about £130, fuel was what it costs. Van was about £700 from memory.

6 birth between 3 of us so loads of room. Third time we've done it now and it works a treat. Much better and more fun than taking the car and I would guess it's just as cheap to rent in the UK than driving to Paris.....without the aground of driving to Paris
