Pit walk ticket - questions
Discussion
Was thinking of treating myself to something a bit different.
Full on hospiality is pretty expensive but want to do something a little different for the 10th year trip.
Has anyone got one of these tickets previously? It just says weekend access to the pit enclosure.
Is it easy to blag a look in pit garages during the race?
Are there any other advantages?
Cheers.

On Friday there is a pit lane walkabout open to all general admission ticket holders. Its busy but not manic, as its open all day. You can't go into the garages (they have barriers up etc) but you can get pretty close for photographs, chat to some of the more friendly teams/mechanics etc. Not sure if you can buy a more exclusive ticket (given better access) for other times?
I know about the Friday open pit lane.
This ticket is supposed to give you paddock access during the race. Think name of it is mis-leading.
Just wondering what experience others might of had with it..... Great but costly or waste of time and money?
Descriptions of it on ACO site is vague considering the cost.

Waste of money.
During the race you would be permitted to walk behind the fence of the main thoroughfare at the rear of the pits, but nothing more.
IIRC, Friday's pitlane access puts you a few feet ahead of the usual barriers with the only benefit that you get better pictures - but I managed to get to the same point for free in 2010 anyway.

Was going to consider this but realised that the aco vip membership doesn't give the discount of the gold one.
Was considering it at just over 300 euro, but at 480 euro without discount, there is no chance.
That is a fair bit of spending money for the race weekend = many bottles of lovely red wine.
