Camping Houx no more?

I've been going to LM since 2001, and our group have used Camping Houx (not annex!) for most of those trips.
(Took a few LM'S to figure out the better campsites!)
However , last year it wasn't avalaible through our usual tour operator, and I've heard that it is likely not to be available for next year either!
As the TVR car club and 'EVO Journo's' have also plumbed for the Houx powerpoints and trams-to-town location etc (other campsites are epic hikes away from centre of things)I assume they are not closing it for good, but recent developments must have reduced the space, hence usual operators have lost out....
Anyone know the latest facts at all?

Can't say for certain but, if not linguistically misunderstood, the ACO ticket office confirmed to me that HOUX proper will be available in 2012. That was just 3 weeks ago. Have placed my order (only allowed two pitches)and am promised confirmation next week if I got there in time.

It will be interesting to see what tickets the agencies get. According to the ACO, only bookings from its members will be accepted for a few weeks ... can't say exactly when because - surprise, surprise - the ACO website has siezed again !
This is clearly intended to get a pile more money out of us (for the membership) - but if agencies still get tickets when members can't, their policy might start looking a tad dishonest....
Also, is it me, or are the prices for campsites, grandstands etc miles higher this year ?

We have 8 Houx tickets reserved with deposits paid, so presume it's still open for business. The ACO are reclaiming more and more land for their own members or corporate clients/private campsite operators. As Houx is quite close to the main village, I can see the ACO eventually using it for corporate hospitality. That area around the main entrance of Houx heading out to the circuit has been developing year on year.

BTW heard from various sources , that ACO make a very good return from Public & tour operator bookings on the houx campsite, to chose to close it all off for corporate functions.
When economies slow down, I imagine those sort of company 'perk' budgets are the first thing to go..

After weeks of silence from the ACO I received confirmation today of camping at Houx. The letter itself mentions 'AA CHATEAU DU HOUX CLUB'. Does anyone know if this is Houx as it was before albeit made smaller due to the encroaching development? In previous years I've been fortunate to get tickets for Houx and designated Numbered (with a number) or Non-Numbered (without)
I know the toilets and showers are permanent but calling it a Chateau is pushing the boundaries of description somewhat. Either that or have the ACO found some campsite out in the sticks near a house and called it Houx to confuse punters as to where they're staying?
