I've never been. I'm too afraid that I'd miss something. I always watch it on TV for the full race.

Is it possible to keep up to date with the on-track action while you're there?

Defenately, the coverage on radio le mans keeps you well up to date. There are many large screens at various parts of the circuit and you can now hire portable (kangeroo) tv sets with live coverage. You can keep as up to date as you would at home, but at least this way you get the incredible athmosphere to boot :-)

As above, The atmosphere is what takes me back every year. Alex you should certainly try it once!

don't just try, go once and you will never miss it again, 27th main lemans for me this year
As for keeping up with the action as said radio le mans, the screens and 100,000 plus english speaking spectators will make sure you are always aware of everything as it happens

I concur!!

I have to admit though that I'm surprised they placed it above the Olympics or World Cup at NG! This is my 8/9 consecutive year, I love it. Times are a-changing though, and my wife and baby boy (he'll be six months come June) are coming along (we already have other little kids in our group), so it's going to be very different for a few years, I just hope he grows up to love it so it can be 'our thing'.

The odds are pretty good already! When his 1st Le Mans is already at 6 months old, chances are he'll get the LM Virus, against which no medication exists!

Exactly. This year will be my 4th - I hope to never miss a race in the future. I kind of stumbled accross Le Mans. My uncle has been going down with some mates for over 10 years and he likes to go for the banter/jokes. He is completely uninterested in the race! I'm mad about cars so he invited me one year. We are very lucky to stay at a house on the road up to Indianapolis. The moment I heard the cars racing past the house I was hooked!

No Kangaroo TV / Whatever it's called atm at LM anymore.
