Classic Le Mans -

Wife and I are going to France on a camping holiday with our dog at the time of Classic Le Mans this year.

A highly regarded, reputable UK ticketing agent for the 24 Hr race suggested last year that we could take our dog to the main race for the week, staying at Houx campsite.

Obviously, we didn't think this was responsible (the dog might be offended by unruly behaviour!) so we didn't pursue that any further, but we're now wondering if there are any options to do something around Classic Le Mans.

We're really interested in seeing if there's much peripheral activity going on around the meeting that we could go and visit, even if we can't go to the race itself.

Grateful for any advice or thoughts.

Can't recall seeing any dogs at the Classic. I've seen a few locals taking their dogs to the main race, which is probably worse for noise. One was even in one of the start line grandstands.

Thanks. I got in touch with the ACO and they confirmed dogs are permitted, as long as they are on the lead.

Should be sorted for our holiday now!
