Le Mans classic 2012 Camping Advice
Discussion
Dear all, first timer at Le Mans Classic. 3 of us travelling together, and we are considering renting motorhome [with own shower and lav]. Have never camped at LM before. I have seen Camping Bleu Nord advertised, but would appreciate any tips or advice from anyone who has camped/glamped or motorhomed it before.....
Motorhomes are great - we're taking dad's one again this year - but take bikes so you can get around and get down to Arnage to watch the cars at night.
There's no electrickery on Bleu Nord so a generator is useful.
Big advantages of a motorhome are comfy beds and a decent fridge !! Oh, and satellite TV. And air con. And showers you don't need to queue for. And the awning for shade.

as already stated the normal pitches are not really big enough for most motorhomes
Provided you don't have a massive 'RV', the normal pitches are fine - we have a 7m motorhome so it fits nicely lengthwise, and with the awning extended we *just* get to 5m wide. Just means parking right up to your boundary and maybe having to fold in a wing mirror. Thanks gents. I thought about the Yank RV route, but baulked at the cost. I have found a (very reasonable) alternative called a Swift Escape which is 7m x 2,25 meters, so it sounds as if it will fit the regular pitch. I have only seen camping availability for Maison Blanche and Bleu Nord. Are there any alternatives that I have missed that may be a better location/ betterfacilities/closer to action/more fun???
Thanks, Lee
Thanks, Lee

You won't get better located than Maison Blanche, unless you can get into any of the Club Camping areas - not sure's there a Swift Escape club featured though this year! Seriously, go for MB if you can get it, you won't regret it.Thanks, Lee
