There's a SFR store next to the Carrefour and there you can buy this:
http://www.sfr.fr/mobile/offres-detail/pass_intern...
When you press on the 'acheter sans tablette' button, there's more info.
But what it actually is, is the following:
-usb thingy with sim to access the internet, costs 9,90 euros for 3 days. (wednesday, thursday, friday????)
-then you can get a recharge card for 9 euros for 48 hours unlimited internet(saturday and sunday)
So 18,90 euros should cover your whole week and the usb/sim thingy you can use next year again, just buy a new recharge card.
Enjoy!

Is that based on any sort of data limit? Or can I use as much as I like until the time runs out? We're experimenting with the idea of streaming the race on a laptop/TV via the net whilst on campsite, with Radio Le Mans for commentary. Something that should be possible on a 3G connection (speed wise) without too much hassle. Anyone ever tried this?http://www.sfr.fr/mobile/offres-detail/pass_intern...

Illimité means unlimited, but that is always a little bit tricky with phone companies. Can't tell you for 100% sure.
BTW: aren't you better off with a camping satellite dish set for say 70 pounds and a cheap flatscreen (which you already have for the streaming?)
We really wanted to do this, but none of us have Sky. It seems the race is being shown on Eurosport, which means we need Sky. Unless anyone has any other ideas!?BTW: aren't you better off with a camping satellite dish set for say 70 pounds and a cheap flatscreen (which you already have for the streaming?)

German eurosport is free to air/freesat!

Sorry, for de-railing this thread a bit.http://www.ukfree.tv/searchresults.php?cx=partner-...
Does this mean, using a dish and freesat box we can pick up the corresponding satellite? Is Europsort Germany the same as Eurosport? I tried to find whether the race is broadcast live on Eurosport Germany, but i'm struggling. Sorry, i'm new to satellite TV

That I don't know. I did a little research on the internet/satellite options myself for this year's Le Mans, but decided against it. (because I don't want to spend my whole week at Le Mans on the internet or behind the TV as I do that at home already!)
To my recollection german eurosport 1 and 2 are the same as the english version only in german (duh!), but that doesn't matter because you'll be listening to Radio Le Mans.
Last year the two channels swapped Le Mans over and over between them, so let's hope the majority of it will be on Eurosport Germany 1, and not 2, because that's also behind the decoder.
Here you can check that:
http://tv.eurosport.de/tvhome.shtml
it only shows up and until june 8th so better check again in 9 days time to be sure before you buy anything!
