Passenger to Le Mans

This may be one of those posts I end up wishing I never made on PH...... but,

SWMBO really wants to go this year but is away with work until Friday the 15th. The only way to get her there will be to find someone going down on Friday afternoon to give her a lift....

So does anyone have a spare seat on Friday?? I'm not selling this as a pleasant thing to have to do, she definately has the female gene and you would need a good few beers after being in her company for that long! Infact she's not even any good at cooking or cleaning! However my life would be much better if I find a way to get her to Le Mans! Oh and if you're loaded, good looking and have a nice car I will have to tell her no one offered!!

You're not exactly selling it to us Mike. Perhaps some photo's on here and something more than an offer of free beer might do the trick!

Not necessarily.......Eurostar to Paris then the TGV to Le Mans, she'll get there in time for the drivers parade !

I was away on business last year before the race, ended up flying into Paris then getting the TGV, it was very easy and quick. Worth a thought if you can't find a spare seat ?

Rather embarrassing but after one of our group broke down 5 miles from Portsmouth, en-route to catch the overnight ferry to Le Havre he walked on, walked to the station in Le Havre, caught a TGV to Rouen, a second TGV to Paris, a third TGV to Le Mans and beat the first car by about 2 hours

My wife also did the Eurostar-metro-TGV route to get to Le Mans for our wedding anniversary.

She said it was a doddle.

Plus, now the trams are running you don't even have to pick her up from the station.
