Henri's "new" car
Discussion
Hi Great Dane, please don't take my post the wrong way but for those of us who aren't "in the know" I never you what you're posting about, I don't know who the random bloke taped to a chair was, what the warehouse full of boxes was about and who Henri is? I'm sure you've got the inside track on a team and that's cool but for those of us who are slightly less informed it would be great to have some more of the back story please?

Hi
Henri Pescarolo has had big problems over the last couple of years including being present when his whole team was being auctioned off by the administrators. Luckily Richard Hein from Oak bought the whole lot and handed over the keys to the factory to Henri there and then and told him to go racing...
Going into 2012 was very precarious as the regulations demanded new cars and his old chassis could not be upgraded (they had been running that car on dispensation for two years already). However he managed to use an old Dome car from Japan which could be upgraded. He couldn't afford to develop a brand new car for himself and he was not willing just to be a customer at Lola or HPD which are the only manufacturers with a P1 car to sell. So to save money in their own development they bought the chassis from Aston Martin's AMR one (which incidentally also forms the base for the Deltawing as they bought two chassis as well) and Pescarolo went about modifying it with the help of money promised by the Luxury team owner Stephanie Horner. The money never really materialised (now there is a surprise -NOT)and luckily another backer stepped in (Roald Goethe) The new car does not have the AM in line 6 cylinder turbo engine which caused so many problems but a Judd which Pescarolo has been associated with for many years. Recently they have had problems with that P1 engine so that was another complication. - When this has meant for the new car project is athat some serious delays have crept in - the car was expected at Spa's WEC round but that was not possible. It is not good to debut at car for the test day - Toyota has had to do that but they have a few more resources available.

Certainly looks better with a bit of colour;

Looks to be some interesting little bits on the car as well, the use of the fin area for the air intake for one (higher than on the AMR-ONE)
