What's Allowed?
Discussion
Hi, Newbie here. Im making my first trip down to Le Mans this year with a few friends and camping at Houx.
Just got a few questions about what we can bring and what is allowed..
I've read all about the glass bottle debate and will probably risk taking some in.
But what about cooking? Are Charcoal BBQ's allowed? Or does it all need to be gas?
And also are we allowed open fires for burning rubbish, keeping warm and melting marshmallows?
Any help appreciated,
Cheers

Oli, disposable and charcoal BBQ's are common but last year there was a post on here with pics of a burnt out car where a BBQ caught the grass on fire and in turn the car - pretty sure I got that right but if not someone correct me - so obviously take care ! Fires are too dodgy except on Sunday night when there is loads of room and it's safer.

Yeah you've pretty much got that right. It happened on Beausejour, one of the guys in our group spotted the fire as no one was around. He alerted the fire rescue and moved a lot of tents / bikes on his own.
