Just solo with a tent: Pitch needed? Anyone space left?
Discussion
Hi there,
first: i am a total LM virgin, but luckily i've received a photo accreditation on short notice and can do pictures at this years race.
Bad news: It just came up a couple of days ago, so i won't be able to make a reservation on any of the well located circuit campsites. As my budget is pretty slim and i do not need a more than car sized pitch i wanted to know if there is any pitch-sharing website or something?
Or probably someone who can offer just some space for a one man tent. I'd offer beer or cash or both and i'll be on the track most of the time anyway.
Help and ideas are well appreciated.
Best regards
Florian

If you look on the ACO site can book tickets and pick them up at the track, no need to pay agency fees. Beausejour camping is cheap and is fine and will be available all the way up to the race weekend if the past is anything to go by. It's a distance from the main part of the circuit, but there is a free shuttle "train" and once at the main circuit village you'll probably stay there.
If its your first time don't forget about Arnage and Mulsanne corners for photos too?
Being signed on sounds fun, don't get in the way if McNish has a prang though!

I am still hoping to be closer to the start area and the village, as there also will be my internet access in the press room. But if nothing turns up within the next days i'll go for beausejour.
I'll head down to the corners for sure and i'm already excited about the race - my first big motorsports assigment.
Thanks & have fun
