Chaps,
I have a pal who lives about an hour away from the circuit, I'm trying to persuade him to pop down with the wife & kiddy to see what all the fuss is about.
I'm staying in Houx, is there anywhere nearby where he can just turn up & park for a few hours without booking, alternatively, can you just turn up and park overnight if he decides to stay over?

On the streets around and about. But expect a walk or catch the tram.
All ACO parking is ticketed.

I did that for the Sunday of 2010 Classic and earned a ticket.

The best bet is to park-up in Arnage, or somewhere agreeable to you both and you meet up with him and drive him into Houx.

For a couple of hours free / easy parking, head to the main circuit entrance, and say "parking for the museum" in your best French! You will then be directed to the left up behind he museum to a medium sized almost empty car park! (There are no tickets or time limits either)

I've been doing this for the past 3 years and it's never been a problem.

Someone mentioned it on Beermountain about 5yrs ago, and I've always been amazed hardly anyone uses the car park!

My pal couldn't be bothered to leave his French pile in the end.
Thanks for the advice though.
