Breakdown cover (cars over 15years old)

Again part of insurance with Adrian Flux but Flux Rescue can be bought seperatly I believe. My car seperate from insurance would be £65 for 12 months including home start, recovery and european recovery up to £3000

Try Hagerty as an alternative, I insure the cob through them and total cost including UK and european breakdown and recovery is £ 179.00. yes its limited mileage but a damn good deal in my book, all the guys there run older cars and some are heading to the main race and some to the classic.

Had cause to claim last year after some old bat rolled back into me and I cannot fault the claims service either, I even had total say in who quoted and who got the job.

+1 as a company but never used their claims service and do not want to....

Im sure you will get really good cover through your insurer if you havent got it already.

Alternatively, if I havent go the bits to give you this time, leave it at the side of the road & jump into Robs Beemer

My insurers won't do it as it's over 15 years old and this goes for alot of the online insurers too.

So far, the RAC are looking favourite at £66.

My MX5 turned 20 last Wednesday and as I have Green Flag cover through my bank account I thought I was OK.

Turns out 17 is the birthday that cars are no longer covered by Green Flag.

Thank god it's an MX5.
