With the posts of people on their way down to the 24hr, who else is all of a sudden counting down the days to their classic trip? Just hope the 24hr riff-raff dont rile the locals too much before we turn up hehe

Starting to prep the disco as I am driving the load lugger. Picking the Lotus up tomorrow after new wheel bearing fitted and a bit of a shake down as only been out in it once this year.

Can't wait.

Yep, really looking forward to it. If only it would stop raining, I've got a few fiddly things to do on the Aston which means getting it out on the drive and I'm crawling round doing car electrics stuff in the rain...

p.s. you all got your breathaliser kits?

Alternator belt ordered, hiviz vests found! Euro breakdown ordered, in 3 weeks time I should be in Arnarge having a bite to eat.

Can not wait, there is a saying the life is short and not to wish it away, but right now I wish I was 3 weeks older!

Yep, count me among the "Can we go now ? can we go NOW ??!!" crowd !!

Sadly two very busy weeks at work and a 16 hour flight back to the UK stand between me and rolling down the road in the motorhome on our way to France.

I'm counting down the days... and by doing so annoying my work colleagues greatly (Tthey're not going. Sucks to be them)

I've been piling mileage on the car and eliminating any little problems I find, but it made it to Le Mans last year and shouldn't struggle this time either.

Can't wait..

Counting days here as well and looking forward to the experience. Although the fact that the lycra clad brigade are in Rouen the day (Wednesday) myself and several others are going to the Classic may be an issue if the usual French approach to shutting roads for this event is anything to go by.

First, breathalyser kits are not needed, as the law is not being enforced until November...

Second, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Taking Eugene down, in a small convoy of other sevens, and we'll be Aero'd, so bugger the weather! It will be fun regardless!

For clarification:-

The French government announced officially on Thursday that all cars must carry a single-use breathalyzer kit from July 1st.

A fine of €11 ($15) will be charged to anyone not carrying the breathalyzer kit, but police have been told to start fining only from November 1st.

The wierd thing is that to remain legal you must carry more than one.

If you have to use one then you can't drive on legally unless you have another?

Correct, the French logic goes that if the flics stop you and ask you to use one you still have another in the car and so remain legal. But then to do that you would need two??? confused
