Just reading about the chap with the Capri's woes of leaving his passport in Yorkshire and wondered who else made major cock-ups this year? I did - arrived last Monday at our campsite in pouring rain to find no tent poles....
Capri woes? Linky please.I left my drivers licence, blackberry car charger and ACO membership card in my Dublin car..the week before Le Mans - thankfully 1 & 2 not needed and three was ok as had last years card and they just looked me up on the system.
Oh, and I got done by the speed camera closest my house in my excitment of getting on the road at 4am.

Not us, or really Le Mans related. We met a bloke on the ferry to St Malo on the Tuesday night who cock'd up. He got to Portsmouth for a ferry to Bilbao and realised he'd forgotten his passport. He drove back to London, got passport, missed ferry and was now on route to St Malo. He was then to drive to Barcelona on his own in an old 968 Porsche. Good luck to that!
The old man on the return at Calais was told at passport control that his passport was three years out of date, but he some how got into France how did that work, spent the next hour whilst Kent Police checked his details out, then the train was delayed for an 1hr 20mins because of a broken down car.

Camping in Beausejour??

Wish I had a pic of the English Taxi driver who drove a Vauhall Vivaro minibus. Last night he ragged it in a circle and then around and over a very wet patch of ground near the showers. Sank and was going nowhere. Daft thing was he was camped about 20ft away, so should have been aware.

Our passports didn't get checked at all leaving the UK! - but did twice when leaving France... (Both French and British customs)Can i vote for the unfortunate ant davidson for being next to the fezza at the wrong time, or the delta wing that was a little too small to be noticed.

Cock up was my mate badly breaking his leg on Expo rave dancing on Sunday early AM. Trip to LM 'ospital and then onwards home on Sunday in agony, just had a pin put in it. Sunday was written off.
You of course will not remind him of this on a monthly basis over the next 10 years...turbo-ww said:

No need his wife will do this for me. His brand new very expensive mountain bike is sitting in the garage, I have not quite plucked up courage to borrow it but I am visiting later might pop the question.Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
