Maybe around 7ish, on Friday night. We could see from Nord Bleu large plumes of smoke behind the grand stands.
Anyone know what it was?
Pretty sure it was Friday anyway.

About that time a very large "cake" firework was let off in the subway between Interior Musee campsite and the top of the village, it latsed for about 2 minutes and produced lots of smoke.
From where you were in Blue Nord the smoke wouldv've appeared to be behind the Grand Stand.

Saw a huge black cloud of smoke also on sunday evening. Apparently that was a fridge on fire on Maison Blanche?

I mean: a fridge on the fire.

Could have been smoke from Bleu Sud over the road - on Friday a huge lorry-back skip was dropped off for rubbish, on Sunday some 'tard thought it was a good idea to chuck some tyres in too and set it on fire.

No no DM, our pyrotechnic exploits went as far as rook scarrers.
And when we got bored of making each "jump" we experimented with a 3ft steel pipe "we found mister" that made an execellent motar, various things were launched over the cars in Parking Green (tomatoes, sausages, potatoes) but rice was our favorite.......went in raw....hiss...bang...woosh....came down cooked.

Then we moved on to filling various things with Butane camping gas and exploding them with a rookie, starting with a 1.5L drinks bottle and finishing with a double air bed filled with Butane and soaked in unleaded petrol!!!

We all came back with all our fingers and the only burns were JJ's sunburned ankles.....again.

That was what all the remnants of were in that tunnel! Walked through there a number of times over the weekend and it looked someone had had a banger fight in there - must have been deafening!!
