What are you driving down to the Le Mans Classic in?
Discussion
As per the title, this will be the third Le Mans trip for us, and the second Classic. We were amazed the first year on the Classic by the amount of Classic cars, Super cars, Performance cars etc, it was like the worlds best rolling car show on the way down there. Even sat in the ferry queue at Dover was amazing.
So, i thought it would be good to see what everyone is driving down in this year.
We'll be driving down in this -

Apologies if this has been posted before, feel free to move/delete if it has!

I'll be heading down in a 911, but much more interestingly in convoy with a colleague in a 1929 4 1/2 litre Bentley. We took it down to the last Classic too. It's such an impressive thing, will happily sit at 75/80mph. Get's an amazing reaction everywhere it went. Also took it on the parade lap, which even as a passenger, was truly a special experience. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures. We are on a Friday morning Eurotunnel, back on Sunday evening. Do say hello/wave if you see us.

Were you camping on Maison Blanche at the last Classic with the Bentley? Edited by Phil5343 on Sunday 24th June 13:14
Nope, we camped off site in La Suze sur Sarthe. Clearly these old Bentleys are very common! I think there were half a dozen or so similar ones at the Classic with the Bentley drivers club. Great to see them still being used. Did you get a chance to get a good look round it? They are amazing cars. The couple of owners I spoke to were all true enthusiasts that were happy to show you round and answer any questions about their cars.
1962 3.8 FHC E Type as the Elise will be staying at home.
Travelling with friends to include:
Lotus Europa
2 Lotus Elise
Maser GT
Merc SLK
And will be joined at the hotel by 2 other E Types, C Type, XK120, Cerbera and then the club parking with 18 - 20 odd Caterhams.
Should be another great weekend. No track laps this year, so a lie in and nice drive out for lunch Saturday and off for the event. Can't wait...
