I have been to this event in 2006/08/10 but never before thought about this....

Is there any radio coverage of the races similar to that at the 24Hrs or Goodwood Revival?

Although they covered the 2010 event, according to their forum there will be no RLM at the Classic. Lack of sponsorship seems to be the issue.

From the Radio Le Mans website:

Just wanted to let you know that despite being invited by the Patrick Peter organisation to reprise our coverage from two years ago, the lack of support from within the classic community means we won't be covering Le Mans Classic. There is no time now to get an FM licence for the event and someone would need to come on board pretty quickly for us to be able to put together an online service.

That's my option for the classic. See how it looks and maybe be there in 2 years.

Intrigued by people saying it is much quieter and a lot better for access.

Not sure it would hold as much interest as the 24hrs. Though the social side would no doubt be just as good.

There'll be plenty to interest you at the LM Classic - on the track, in the Village, in the club car parks. You won't come home disappointed.
